‘Tis the season to be merry, but some people seem to take that to a new level. Some people will show up at holiday festivities and try to get the spirit of the season by drinking all of the spirits. If those people try to drive home, other people on the roadways are often put into danger. Sadly, the holiday season is one season in which drunk driving seems to become more commonplace.
While you can’t do much to stop a drunk driver, you can watch for the signs that someone is driving drunk. If you notice that a person is driving drunk, you can take action to stay away from them and contact the police department.
As you drive around this holiday season, be watchful for these signs that might indicate a person is driving drunk:
— Driving too fast or too slow
— Erratic braking
— Weaving in and out of lanes
— Speeding up or slowing down quickly without reason
— Turning quickly or without notice
— Responding slowly to traffic signals and signs
Even if you are vigilant while you are on the roadways, there is a still a chance that you might be struck by a drunk driver. An accident that is caused by a drunk driver can lead to serious injuries that can have a negative impact on your life.
If you are involved in a drunk driving accident, you might opt to seek compensation for your injuries. Some damages you might seek compensation for include medical bills, missed wages and other costs that are directly associated with the injuries from the accident.
